Circle of God’s Love!

circle of love

“Bless the Lord, O my soul! …Who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy…”

WOW! What a wonderful union!! God’s steadfast love and His tender mercies!! As I checked the original meaning of these two words, it reminded me of the marriage of two loving parents.

God’s steadfast love is like the love of a father, and the tender mercies like that of a mother! An unbroken union! This love is like a circle, which encompasses or encircles us, and it has no breaks, no beginning or end. Oh, what a comforting thought!! I am surrounded by God’s love, and there is no escaping it.

This is like what Jeremiah said when he wrote in Lamentations:

“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” (3:22-23, ESV)

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits!!”

    Do you know the kid’s song that goes to the tune Stand up stand up for Jesus?
    God’s love is like a circle
    A circle big & round,
    For when you see a circle,
    No ending can be found.
    And so the love of Jesus goes on eternally
    Forever & forever, He loves both you & me.

    I found this rather interesting and eye catching but I thought the words upside down were hard to read. I have taken the liberty of turning them rightside up if you would be interested.
